Quick results - fast actions. 

You will receive test results and expert recommendations within 48 hours of the samples arriving at the laboratory. The results are presented in a clear and easy-to-understand report, and any critical findings are communicated immediately. Recommendations based on alert levels help prioritize maintenance, optimize service schedules, and extend component service life.

S·O·S services are part of a proactive maintenance approach, where machine condition is systematically monitored using analyses, inspections, and service data. The way S·O·S analysis results are accessed is changing

Caterpillar is unifying its service channels, and as a result the SOS Web website will be discontinued during 2026.

In the future, SOS sample results will be available in the VisionLink fleet management system.
At the same time, the delivery method of the results will also change: the automatically emailed PDF report will be replaced by VisionLink notifications, which you can easily configure yourself.

What do you need to do?

Make sure you have VisionLink login credentials.
The credentials are the same as those used in the parts.cat.com online store.

How will I know when the results are ready?

In VisionLink, you can set up alerts so that you receive a notification:

  • in your email and/or
  • as a push notification in the mobile app on your phone
