New Recommendations provide real-time information and tools to avoid unnecessary downtime.

Important information to support your fleet management

Caterpillar has added a new feature to the VisionLink fleet management tool to support your business: Recommendations.
You can find Recommendations in the To Review menu at the bottom of the VisionLink mobile app. By enabling push notifications in the VisionLink mobile app, you will receive a notification on your phone whenever a new Recommendation arrives. Instructions for enabling push notifications can be found at the end of this page.

The right information at the right time

Recommendations are based on data transmitted by your machines and provide solution proposals immediately—whether it’s a spare parts need or a risk of component failure. Respond directly in the app with a single click and keep your fleet moving without unnecessary downtime.

Why are Recommendations useful?

  • Based on real-time data from your equipment
  • Instant alerts – respond anytime, anywhere
  • Save working time and avoid costly, unexpected downtime

By following Recommendations, you ensure your machines remain productive without interruptions

 

What to do when you receive a new Recommendation:

Review the incoming recommendation and the suggested actions.

Spare parts notification (e.g. a clogging filter):

  • To purchase the recommended part, click “Buy Parts”
  • You will be redirected to the webshop, where the correct part is already in your cart

Component service notification:

  • Send a service request to Avesco by clicking “Request Service”
  • We will contact you no later than the next business day to schedule a suitable service time

You can also dismiss the notification by clicking “Ignore”. The notification will automatically disappear after 30 days if no action is taken.
All active recommendations can be found in the Review menu.

 

Enable push notifications on your mobile device

Follow these steps to enable push notifications and receive Recommendations as soon as they arrive:

  1. Go to the More section in the submenu
  2. Tap Push Notifications
  3. Select the menu you want to edit
  4. Enable the desired notifications by tapping them

You will now receive push notifications on your mobile device.
