This is the ultimate test of skill, control, and determination, giving you the chance to prove that you belong among the world's top operators. The winners will forge their legacy and inspire future generations to push their limits and set the bar even higher.
What is the Global Operator Challenge?
The Global Operator Challenge (GOC) is an international competition organised by Caterpillar, where earthmoving machine operators from around the world compete for the world championship title. Participants are challenged to demonstrate their agility, resilience, versatility, and ability to harness technology that enhances machine performance.
The grand prize of this three-stage competition is the world champion title and a cash prize of 10,000 USD – or alternatively, a dream trip for two to any destination in the world where a Cat facility is located.
The competition consists of three stages, the first of which — the Finnish local qualifier — was held during Mansen Mörinät on April 26, 2025. The winner of the qualifier will advance first to the regional semifinals in Málaga, and the world championship title will be decided at the finals in Las Vegas.
The top 3 of the Finnish qualifier were:
- Jeremias Järvilä
- Toni Arvila
- Oscar Lindeman
Thus, Jeremias Järvilä will represent Finland in Málaga in October 2025.
The grand prize of the overall competition is the title of World Champion along with a cash prize of 10,000 US dollars — or alternatively, a dream trip for two anywhere in the world where there is a Cat dealership, valued at the same amount.
