Meet the finnish national winner of the Caterpillar Global Operator Challenge 2025

Young earthmoving professional Jeremias Järvilä challenges international colleagues in the Global Operator Challenge
—
At the Mansen Mörinät event in April, Finland’s best machine operators showcased their skills in the national round of the Caterpillar Global Operator Challenge 2025. The competition was won by 28-year-old Jeremias Järvilä from Kokkola, who grew up in his family’s earthmoving business surrounded by heavy machinery. With over 15 years of hands-on experience, he highlights his versatile background with different machines and earthmoving tasks as his strength.
Encouraged by his father to enter the contest, Järvilä competed with confidence and secured victory in the Finnish round. His journey now continues to the international semifinals in Málaga, Spain, on October 7–8, 2025, where he will test his skills on machines less familiar to him. If successful, he will advance to the global finals in Las Vegas in spring 2026.

Outside the competition, Järvilä manages Maanrakennus KoneKari Oy together with his father, Kari Järvilä. The company operates widely in the Kokkola region, specializing in infrastructure and industrial projects. Jeremias’s role is broad, ranging from site management, calculations, and administration to practical machine work. He finds the variety and the opportunity to see the results of his work especially rewarding.
