New Avesco Headquarters in Kerava

Avesco Oy will build new premise and transfer the operations to Kerava in 2021.

The city of Kerava and Avesco Oy have today signed a real estate agreement regarding a site of approximately 3.3 hectares in the Kerca area of Kerava. Avesco Oy will build new premise on the site in 2021 and transfer the operations of Avesco with the Caterpillar dealership to Kerava.

In the recent years, several significant logistics and industrial companies have been located in the Kerca area in South Kerava, which is located between the Lahti motorway and the main railway line. Some of them are Frode Laursen, Dachser, Vink Finland and Hyxo.

The logistics center of the Broman Group, which owns Motonet, is also situated in Kerca. This area is attractive to companies which require excellent transport connections by means of heavy transport, light and public transport. Some of Helsinki Regional Transport Authority's electric buses run from the Kerava station and also from Vantaa via Kerca. Conveniently, the Savio Train Station is also located in Kerca which is easily accessible to employees.

“In its urban strategy, The City of Kerava is strongly committed to the development of business life. It is our privilege to have another international company locate to Kerava. With Avesco’s investment the Kerca area will grow and will increase the vitality of the entire city. It's also very pleasing to anticipate the many new job opportunities which will be created in this city,” says Kirsi Rontu, the Mayor of Kerava.

Stefan Sutter, CEO of Avesco AG from Switzerland, says that the company has chosen Kerava because of the proximity to Helsinki, the good road and rail connections and the straightforward interactions with the city. 7 months after the first contact with the city, the building permit is already granted and Avesco is looking forward to start the construction works for the new location next week.

The new premises will be the Finnish Headquarters with offices, workshop and warehouse. Avesco took over the distribution of Caterpillar products for the Finnish market by January 1, 2020. The American company Caterpillar is the world's leading manufacturer of construction and mining machinery, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives. Caterpillar sells its products in various countries and regions through independent sales and service partners.
